Welcome to the new ezboard!

The 7.0 release adds a new look, an updated framework, and an increased commitment to ease-of-use for all ezboard members. We have a new Help Center, a more logical Control Center, new features for Gold Communities and ezSupporters, a ton of bug fixes, and much more.

Your New Control Center

We hope you’ll find the new Control Center a clear, clean and more intuitive place to manage your account and/or community. Everything is still there, with some terminology or placement changes (terminology changes). The redesign also adds the latest web standards using XHTML and CSS layout, and we recommend upgrading your browser to its latest version. (browser upgrade information)

A Better Way To Get Help

The new Help Center neatly organizes everything to do with Customer Support into one place. You can find all FAQs, Help Files, support forum links and email forms here. We’ve rewritten all of our help files to include more detailed “how to” information and key points for using a feature.

New Features!

• Community Chat BETA (Gold Communities)
  The new Community Chat feature has been released to all servers as a beta. We are using this time to test its performance on the ezboard network. A full release will be done at a later date. (information on using Community Chat) Please report any bugs you encounter with Chat at the bugs forum.
• Profile Skins (ezSupporters)
  Create a unique identity for yourself in your public profile with Profile Skins! Use our custom made, signature skins or create and share your own. (more information)
• More ezCodes
  We've created more ezcodes (ezboard’s abbreviated form of HTML) for all users. The new codes give all users the ability to create ezcode custom signatures in a format similar to HTML. Click here for a complete list.
• Bandwidth Usage
  All communities will now also be able to view their Bandwidth Usage under the View Statistics link on the My Community tab.

Ready-Made New Communities

New ezboard communities now come pre-built with an array of feature and security settings, a set of forums, posts with useful instructions and help files.

Bug Fixes

Nearly 20 bugs have been fixed. (full list of bug fixes)

Important Security Changes For the Entire Network

In order to tighten security and provide an enjoyable and safe experience for all, we are introducing new limitations in areas where exploits have been used to breach security. Gold boards and ezSupporters will not be affected by the changes. Read more about how these changes will affect you.

Down The Road...

Here's what you can expect in the future from the new ezboard:

• New XHTML and CSS layout Framework for communities will complete our full conversion to web-standards as well as offer the MOST CUSTOMIZEABLE community product available.
• An Inbox feature to replace the current Private Messaging system will add basic web-based messaging functionality to the network
• Administrator functions to limit posting and viewing depending on user level and power - this will allow for community cost-control and robust anti-spamming security.
• ezPosting interface will allow you to format your posts without having to type ezcodes or HTML.
