What is Who can Post?
There are 4 options available to you under this header on the Security Settings page. This defines who can post on your community, and consequently who is allowed to membership.
- Anyone – This allows all ezboard users, unregistered and registered, to post at your ezboard.
- Registered ezboard Users only – This allows only registered users to post at your community.
- Registration and Password Required - In this mode, users will not be able to post until they have received the community's password, either from you or from another member. Once they receive the password and post they will become a member of your community and will not need to enter the password again. Note: This will not prevent users from viewing your community. You can also restrict access to specific forums (Registration and Password Required is at the community level) by requiring forum-specific passwords.
- Approved Applicants Only – This allows only users that you have approved to post at your community. The users can apply for membership at your community if they would like to post. See MBA for more information.

What is Membership By Approval (MBA)?
This feature enables the administrator to approve a user before they can post, or in a stricter mode, view their ezboard. For those who run boards that are private in nature or simply want to keep spammers off their boards, MBA is a popular feature that only ezboard offers. More about MBA
