Invisible Forums

With this Gold Community feature you can create completely private and secure forums on your community. Taking the private forums one step further, Invisible Forums only allows users on your allowed user list to see and access the forum. You won't have to hear "Why can't I go into that forum?" ever again.

Key Information

• Users never need to know the password, you can just add their username to the allowed user list for the forum.
• Users will see the forum listed on the main page as well as in the dropdown menu at the bottom of each forum.
• Forum categories that only have Invisible Forums in them – will also be invisible.

How to make the forum invisible:

1. Log in to your Control Center and click on the My Community tab.
2. 2. Scroll down to Forum Specific Administration section where the forums are listed and highlight the forum to be invisible.
3. Click on the Security Settings button and add a password into the field at the top.
4. Check the box next to Make the forum Invisible to users NOT on the allowed user list. Click on the Save Changes button.

How to add usernames to the Allowed User List:

1. Log in to your Control Center and click on the my community tab.
2. 2. Scroll down to the Forum Specific Adminstration header where the forums are listed and highlight the forum to be invisible.
3. Click on the Security Settings button .
4. Click on the Allowed User List link and add all usernames in the space provided.
