Rating Topics

You can allow topics to be rated on a per forum basis or throughout the entire community. Once the Topic Rating feature has been turned on, any registered user can rate a topic. The rating that you see next to a topic is the averaged rating of all registered users who have rated the topic.

Key Information

• You can customize the Topic Rating image for the entire community.
• This will add a new column to your topic-listing page.

User: How to rate a topic

To rate a topic, you must be logged in using an account which is good at that particular community.

1. Go to the post-and-reply page (the page where the actual messages are displayed) for the topic which you would like to rate.
2. If you see Rate this topic: near the lower-right of the page, click on the adjacent drop-down menu and choose a rating.
3. Click the Go button to submit your rating.

Admin: How to turn on Topic Rating

1. Log in to your Control Center and click the My Community tab.
2. Manage the community you would like to change.
3. Scroll down to the Forum Specific Administration section of the tab and select the forum you wish to change.
4. Click the Security Settings button.
5. On the next page scroll down to the header Display & Feature Options and place a check in the box to the left of Enable Topic Rating.
6. Click on the Save Changes button.
