Polls

With the community Poll feature you and your members will be able to enhance discussions by voting on issues, ideas, etc. Your members can vote and see the results for any poll. They can also comment on the question (with or without voting) so you have both hard and soft data to work with.

Key Information

• You have up to 5 possible voting options. You can have less – but not more.
• You cannot edit a poll. If you make a mistake you will need to delete the entire poll and start again.
• Only Gold Communities can use HTML in a Poll.

User: How to Post/Use a Poll

1. Go to the topic listing page.
2. Click on the icon labeled New Poll. (this may vary from community to community)
3. Fill in the blank spaces with poll questions and content.
4. When you are finished, click on the Add Poll button.

Admin: How to turn on Polls in your forums

1. Log in to your Control Center.
2. Click on the My Community tab and manage the correct community.
3. Scroll down to the Forum Specific Administration section and select the forum you wish to change. Now, click on the Security Settings button.
4. Look for the heading, Allow polls in posts and check the box to the left to turn this option on.
5. When you are finished, click on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
