Private Messaging

Do you want to allow other users to contact you but wish for your email address to remain private? That’s what Private Messaging (PM) is all about – it enables users to interact with one another with the knowledge that their email address will remain private and secure. Each and every ezboard user can enable and user private messaging.

Key Information

  • Local Users can only Private Message other Local users, not Global users.
  • The messages arrive in the inbox of your registered email address.
  • You can only reply to the message if the sender can also receive private messages.

How to turn on PM in your profile

  1. Log in to your Control Center and click on the, Account Preferences button.
  2. Under the Privacy and Security heading, place a check next to the box, Accept Private Messages. Checking this box allows other users to send you private messages, via email, without divulging your actual email address. Un-checking it prevents them from doing so.
  3. Click on the Save Changes button.

How to reply to a PM

  1. Click on the link provided in the email in order to reply to the private message.
  2. Another window will pop-up. Fill out the Subject and the Message fields.
  3. Click the Send button.
