Emoticons represent the facial expressions, emotions, moods, or gestures that cannot be conveyed in plain text. Enter the matching keyboard characters in your post and it will be translated into fun and colorful graphics. Each Gold Community can have its own set of custom emoticons to add new elements of fun and uniqueness to the community.

All custom emoticon keystroke combinations must begin with a colon : and are case sensitive.
To ensure the safety of your custom emoticons, we suggest that you use the Theme Trading feature to export your Custom emoticons and then save the text file that is exported. That way, if you lose your new emoticons at any time you can just import that text file back onto your board.
If you have a large number of emoticons, we suggest displaying only your favorites in the posting interface. The rest will be accessible by pop-up.
Click on the My Community tab and then the Custom Images button.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on the Custom Set link next to the Emoticons header.
You will see a list of editable keystrokes and URLs. Simply change the fields you want to customize and click on the Save Changes button. The text field is for the keystroke sequence to activate the emoticon while the URL field is for the path of the emoticon image.
Click on the My Community tab and then the Custom Images button.
3. Scroll down to the bottom and click on the Custom Set link next to the Emoticons header.
Click on the Add a new emoticon link at the bottom of the page.
Fill in the neccessary fields and click on the Save Changes button. The text field is for the keystroke sequence to activate the emoticon while the URL field is for the path of the emoticon image.
How to show or hide emoticons in the posting interface
Log in to your Control Center and click on the My Community tab and manage the correct community.
Click on the My Community tab and then the Custom Images button.
Check the box in the Favorite column for every emoticon you would like to display in the posting interface.
Unchecking the box in the Favorite column will add those emoticons to a pop-up window accessible by the Complete List link in the posting interface.
Unchecking ALL favorite checkboxes will turn the emoticon interface off and leave only a link to access them via popup below the posting box (the emoticons will not be clickable).
