HTML in Posts

For more advanced users, ezboard supports the use of HTML tags to liven up posts. This is helpful for text formatting as well as images and URL linking (however if you're not an HTML expert you can instead use ezcodes to achieve the same effect). HTML in Posts is a Gold Community feature and the decision to allow it in posts is ultimately left up to the admin of each community.

Key Information

  • For a basic HTML tutorial, please click here.
  • For security reasons, certain HTML tags such as script, object, embed, and comment are not allowed on posts, even if HTML is enabled.

How to allow/disallow HTML in posts in your community

  1. Log in to your Control Center.
  2. Click on the My Community tab and manage the correct community.
  3. Scroll down to the Forum Specific Administration section of the My Community tab and select the forum you wish to change. Now, click on the Security Settings button.
  4. Check the box next to Allow HTML in Posts.
  5. Click on the Save Changes button.

*Please note that using HTML disables ezcodes, emoticons, and link conversion.
